Instructions for dyeing with Henna
Package
Contents In each box of Henna hair dye you will find:
- 33 g of natural henna powder in the selected shade protective
- gloves plastic
- cap
- instructions for use
hair wrap (a bag of colorless powder, 80 g in total)
The contents of the package are enough for 1-2 uses, depending on the length and density of the hair.
Application procedure
Pour hot water over the henna powder (ideally shortly after boiling, at least 60 °C) and mix thoroughly until a smooth slurry is formed. The consistency should be such that the mixture does not run, but at the same time it is easy to apply. Apply the mixture immediately after preparation to washed, slightly damp hair. Make sure that it is not too hot (to avoid burns), but at the same time as warm as possible when applying - a higher temperature supports the effect of the color.
Before application, we recommend applying a greasy cream to the skin on the forehead and around the hairline to prevent unwanted skin discoloration. After application, cover the hair with a plastic cap and wrap it in a towel (ideally an old one) or use a thermal cap. Keeping the heat increases the effectiveness of henna.
Exposure time and water temperature Intensive dyeing:
water up to 100 °C, exposure time 30–60 minutes Coloring + regeneration: water 60–90 °C, exposure time up to 1 hour
Regeneration: water min. 60 °C, exposure time 1–6 hours Rinse and subsequent care After the exposure time has elapsed, rinse the hair thoroughly with water and then wash with shampoo. For better combing, we recommend using a balm or conditioner.
Warning The water temperature when preparing the mixture should not fall below 60 °C. At lower temperatures, the active ingredients may not be released and the resulting shade may be undesirable (e.g. with a green tint).
